About the Group

Training Process Group for Therapists
This training group for therapists meets online on Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 5:00pm, Pacific Time (6:30pm-8:00pm Eastern Time). Although this is not a therapy group and members are not considered patients, the usual standards of confidentiality are expected and members are free to bring in whatever content they wish. We work within a psychodynamic, attachment, and relational approach.

We meet individually with the potential member once or twice to get acquainted and to discuss the fit with the existing group. We charge our usual $200 USD fee for these initial 50-minute interview(s). The group is open-ended with each member committing to a trial period of six months and to a termination process when they are ready to leave the group. It is a long-term, slow-open group so members will be added as there are openings available. The group fee is $100 USD per session. The group meets weekly and is a training group in that the last 10 minutes of each session we discuss the process theoretically but in many other ways it operates similarly to a therapy group. We expect people to get a lot of therapeutic benefit and personal growth from participating, as well as developing professional skills in group leadership. The possibility of offering an annual in-person weekend institute may be explored over time.
