Download Sitesucker For Windows __EXCLUSIVE__

WebCopy by Cyotek takes a website URL and scans it for links, pages, and media. As it finds pages, it recursively looks for more links, pages, and media until the whole website is discovered. Then you can use the configuration options to decide which parts to download offline.

The interesting thing about WebCopy is you can set up multiple projects that each have their own settings and configurations. This makes it easy to re-download many sites whenever you want; each one, in the same way every time.

Once the copying is done, you can use the Results tab to see the status of each individual page and/or media file. The Errors tab shows any problems that may have occurred, and the Skipped tab shows files that weren't downloaded. But most important is the Sitemap, which shows the full directory structure of the website as discovered by WebCopy.

Like WebCopy, it uses a project-based approach that lets you copy multiple websites and keep them all organized. You can pause and resume downloads, and you can update copied websites by re-downloading old and new files.

Once everything is downloaded, you can browse the site normally, simply by going to where the files were downloaded and opening the index.html or index.htm in a browser.

You can replace the website URL here with the URL of whichever website you want to download. For instance, if you wanted to download the whole Encyclopedia Britannica, you'll have to tweak your command to this:

One of its nifty feature is the ability to save an in-progress download to a file, then use that file to download the same files and structure again in the future (or on another machine). This feature is also what allows SiteSucker to pause and resume downloads.

Wget is a command-line utility that can retrieve all kinds of files over the HTTP and FTP protocols. Since websites are served through HTTP and most web media files are accessible through HTTP or FTP, this makes Wget an excellent tool for downloading entire websites.

Wget comes bundled with most Unix-based systems. While Wget is typically used to download single files, it can also be used to recursively download all pages and files that are found through an initial page:

If you want to be polite, you should also limit your download speed (so you don't hog the web server's bandwidth) and pause between each download (so you don't overwhelm the web server with too many requests):

Apart from simply downloading a whole website, the app packs a host of other features and intricacies as well. For instance, when you download and install the app, in the app's main menu you'll see these options to choose from:

But remember: the bigger the site, the bigger the download. Therefore, we don't recommend downloading massive sites like MUO because you'll need thousands of MBs to store all the media files such sites use.

Are you looking for SiteSucker for Windows 7/8/10 download instructions? Then you've come to the right place. Most of the mobile apps are exclusively developed to work with mobile phones. But we love to use them on larger screens such as Windows Laptop / Desktop as it gives easy and faster access than a small mobile device.

Few apps provide the larger screen versions that support windows, mac, and PC by default. But when there is no official large screen support, we need to find a way to install and use it. Luckily we have got you a few methods that can help you to install and use SiteSucker in Windows - 7/8/10, Mac, PC.

"SiteSucker is a Macintosh application that automatically downloads Web sites from the Internet. It does this by asynchronously copying the site's Web pages, images, backgrounds, movies, and other files to your local hard drive, duplicating the site's directory structure. Just enter a URL (Uniform Resource Locator), press return, and SiteSucker can download an entire Web site."

What you probably need is a website downloader like previously covered Fresh Websuction, to download all webpages with files, images, and other content saved on web server to your system. SiteSucker is a one-click website downloader for Mac OS X which can fetch all images, backgrounds, media files, and other uploaded content from web server. The application is set to download all files on same server, however it includes option to fetch all web pages and files on sub-domains as well.

In addition to supporting linked pages and sub-domains, you can put limit on downloading process to fetch only required number of web pages and search for files in any depth levels. You can alternatively opt to specify file types and maximum file size to download in order to save disk space. Other download process specific customizations include, paths to Include and Exclude options, fetch files and web pages from only defined locations, etc.

Using SiteSucker, you can instantly make offline versions of your websites. All you need is to feed it with website URL to start downloading all index and link pages. The built-in History and Log features lets you easily download fresh version of any previously downloaded websites and check errors retrieved files from website, respectively. On main interface, enter URL of website you wish to download and click Download to begin downloading website with default settings.

You can change default downloading settings from Edit Settings dialog accessible from Settings menu. The General window deals with robot.txt file type exclusions, suppressing login dialog box, and other file replace, HTML processing, download mode, etc., options. To apply limits on file downloading, head over to Limits tab to set max number of levels to search, number of files you want to download from website, min and max file size, and max image screen according to screen size.

Similarly, you can apply filters on file types to download. By default, it downloads all types of files. You can choose Only Download These File Types option from drop-down menu to specify required types of files. Additionally, it includes an option to set a range of file types which are to be treated as HTML or webpage file.

If you just want to download specific web pages for viewing later, your browser can easily do it for you. It can download the whole page with all its components and let you browse it offline in the browser again.

HTTracks is a popular tool to download the whole data of a website and access it offline. It is an open-source tool that is available for Windows, Linux and Android platforms. It will download the whole website by moving from link to link, so it is also able to format the archive like you are browsing the website online.

The process could take a lot of time depending on how big the website is. It may even take days to download a website as massive as Hongkiat.com. On top of that, this data could easily take GBs of space on your hard drive, so make sure you have enough space. Once downloaded, you can open the project to start browsing the website in your default browser.

Tip: HTTracks starts downloading data from the latest updates and moves backward. If you only want latest data and not the whole website, then cancel the download process when you are sure that the needed data is downloaded. Even if the download process is cancelled, you can still access the data that has been already downloaded.

SiteSucker is a great alternative to HTTracks for macOS and iOS users. It works similar to HTTracks and downloads websites as a whole by jumping from link to link. You can also pause downloads in the middle to view the downloaded web pages and resume any time you like.

PageArchiver lets you save multiple web pages and access them from its interface. You can download all the web pages that are currently opened in your browser. Simply open the pages you need and download them with PageArchiver.

WebScrapBook lets you download a single web page or a whole website. It also organizes the downloaded content in its interface and a handy search bar makes it easy to search for the right content.

If you only want to download online articles to read later, then Pocket might be a great option. It has compatible extensions for all the popular browsers that you can use to save articles and other supported content.

And of course, for downloading the whole websites, HTTracks and SiteSicker are the best options. If you know any other tools to save websites for offline viewing, do share with us in the comments below.

An offline reader (sometimes called an offline browser or offline navigator) is computer software that downloads e-mail, newsgroup posts or web pages, making them available when the computer is offline: not connected to a server.[a] Offline readers are useful for portable computers and dial-up access.

Website mirroring software is software that allows for the download of a copy of an entire website to the local hard disk for offline browsing. In effect, the downloaded copy serves as a mirror of the original site. Web crawler software such as Wget can be used to generate a site mirror.

Offline mail readers are computer programs that allow users to read electronic mail or other messages (for example, those on bulletin board systems) with a minimum of connection time to the server storing the messages. BBS servers accomplished this by packaging up multiple messages into a compressed file, e.g., a QWK packet, for the user to download using, e.g., Xmodem, Ymodem, Zmodem, and then disconnect. The user reads and replies to the messages locally and packages up and uploads any replies or new messages back to the server upon the next connection. Internet mail servers using POP3 or IMAP4 send the messages uncompressed as part of the protocol, and outbound messages using SMTP are also uncompressed. Offline news readers using NNTP are similar, but the messages are organized into news groups.
