Presenters:  Heather Baron, Shari Baron, and Tom Hurster

Heather will present on the basics of providing Telemental Health.  Shari will present on working with adults in group therapy remotely online.  Tom will present on conducting adolescent therapy groups online.

Heather Baron, MEd, MSS, LCSW, is a clinical social worker in private practice in Wayne, PA, who specializes in helping people heal from trauma and grief.  She is an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist and holds a certificate of Advanced Studies in Trauma Counseling from Thomas Jefferson University.  She works with adult clients from diverse backgrounds in individual therapy, and she was previously an Outpatient Therapist in two local community mental health agencies.  She is certified in Telemental Health.

Shari Baron MSN, CNS, GCP, FAGPA is a clinical nurse specialist in private practice In Media, PA for over forty years while also teaching as a clinical instructor, workshop facilitator and consultant. She facilitated groups with cancer patients and their families for twenty years, and is currently conducting two intergenerational women’s psychotherapy groups as well as working with individuals and couples. She is on the Board of both the AGPA and PAGPS and is Co-Chair of the Fellowship Committee of AGPA. Her private practice is currently being conducted remotely via Zoom.

Thomas Hurster MSS LCSW CGP FAGPA is a clinical social worker in private practice in Bryn Mawr, PA.  His practice is primarily with adolescents and young adults, and he is currently conducting three ongoing mixed gender/mixed diagnosis psychotherapy groups for adolescents and young adults- all three currently being conducted remotely.  He is on the faculty of the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research where he teaches Group Treatment among other courses.  He is a co-chair of the Child and Adolescent Special Interest Group of the AGPA, and is on the Board of PAGPS.
