ETHOS Broomall Adolescent IOP (Mon/Wed/Fri)
Groups Activity: Last 30 Days
About
Description: The group is a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program for Adolescents 13-18 years old (18 if they are still in high school). The ideal group member is a teenager who is struggling to function in their day to day life but is not in need of inpatient services. The group focuses on coping strategies, empowerment, identity exploration, and relationships. The group leader infuses CBT, DBT, and mindfulness in order to help support group members. The intensive outpatient program also offers individual therapeutic support and family sessions as needed.
Facilitators: Maddy Omrod, LSW, received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Dartmouth College. She earned her Masters in Social Work at Bryn Mawr College. Maddy has experience working in the inpatient mental health setting at Jefferson Health as well as in individual and group therapy at the the University of Pennsylvania Counseling Center.
She has past experience supporting survivors of gender-based violence and working in gender-based violence prevention and advocacy. Maddy’s passion for exploring how the family system and intergenerational trauma impact the mind/body shapes her substance abuse and mental health treatment approach. Maddy’s clinical focus is psychodynamic and relational.
