PRESENTER: DR. JACOB GLICKMAN, PSYD, MA, LPC

Jacob (he/him) is a clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, and the technology coordinator for PAGPS. He received his first master's from La Salle University, earned his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Widener University, and is currently completing a second doctorate in human sexuality at Widener. Professionally, Jacob applies a feminist, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy-based lens to his work with both individuals and groups as the postdoctoral fellow at the Therapy Center of Philadelphia. His current research focuses on creating a therapeutic program using role-playing games (RPGs) for individuals in group therapy.

From attendance at this event, participants will be able to:

1) Compare the structure and process of group therapy with that of tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) to demonstrate the potential of TTRPGs as a treatment modality.

2) Explain and use basic terms associated with role-playing games within the context of a therapeutic process.

3) Discuss educational options for further exploration into the field of therapeutic role-playing treatments.
